Shanghai Film Park
Spacious amusement park providing film & TV shooting sets, restaurants, a courtyard and kids' games.

ShShanghai Film Park is characterized by its authentic old Shanghai architecture, recreating the city as it was in the 1930s. It has served as a filming location for numerous productions such as Romance in the Rain and Lust, Caution, and visitors might even come across a film crew during their visit. Riding a tram or a rickshaw through these historic streets feels like traveling back in time.
The park features fully designed sets like the “Southern Streets” and realistic scenes including “Nanjing Road,” “Shanghai Shikumen Alley Houses,” “Suzhou Creek,” and the “Garden Bridge.” The so-called “Ten-Mile Foreign Market” of old Shanghai comes alive here - take a ride on the tram as it clangs along the “Old Bund,” stroll down “Nanjing Road” past genuine old Shanghai establishments like Shen Dacheng Dim Sum Shop, Wangxingji Fan Store, Hengdeli Clock & Watch Shop, and Zhang Xiaoquan Scissors Store.
When the mood strikes, hop into a rickshaw and let a puller like “Xiangzi” of old Shanghai pull you around “Tianxiang Lane” near Nanjing Road or through the Old Shanghai Street, creating an immersive experience that blurs the line between past and present.
The park also features a Catholic church, a medieval-style winery, and European architecture inspired by England, France, Germany, Spain, Norway, and other countries, catering to the filming needs of various styles of movies, TV series, and wedding photo-shoots.
The park houses a costume and prop exhibition hall along with a wax museum. Within the 1,500-square-meter exhibition space, nearly 200,000 pieces of cinematic attire spanning different eras and styles are preserved, alongside props from various historical periods.
Shanghai Film Park has hosted hundreds of film and TV production crews as well as advertising teams. Well-known works such as Temptress Moon, Romance in the Rain, The White Countess, Kung Fu Hustle, and Lust, Caution were all shot here.
Thus, the streets and alleys you casually stroll through may very well be significant settings from famous films. For movie fans, tracing the paths of cinematic stories here offers a unique and enjoyable experience.
