Peng Kun is Co-founder and Managing Partner of AltNext, and Founder & CEO of AltStory, a leading interactive content technology company. He holds a Master's degree from Johns Hopkins University.

A pioneer in interactive storytelling and content technology on a global scale, Peng Kun has spent nearly a decade at the forefront of China's interactive film and gaming industry. Bridging technology and art with a cross-disciplinary vision, he has dedicated his work to building personalized interactive content platforms for the next generation. He spearheaded China's first interactive drama series Mystery of Antiques: Origins of the Buddha's Head, marking a defining moment for the country's interactive content landscape. His productions, including Breakout 13, ranked among Steam's annual top 3 bestsellers. He also created Beaver Game.Live, an AI-driven live-streaming interactive show that attracted over 3 million real-time participants on Bilibili, and has published bullet-screen interactive games generating revenues exceeding USD 10 million.

AltStory is backed by a distinguished group of investors including Matrix Partners China, ZhenFund, Yuewen Group, and Shanghai Film New Vision Fund. At the industry level, Gary has contributed to the drafting of national standards in interactive technology and cloud gaming, advancing interactive media as part of China's cultural infrastructure. His work has been recognized at international festivals including Cannes and Venice.

In 2025, Gary co-founded AltNext, bringing nearly a decade of experience building China's interactive content industry from the ground up. Having pioneered the category himself, he recognized the need for a dedicated global platform where creators working at the frontier of interactive experience could connect, collaborate, and push the field forward together.
