Shan He

Shan He is the Founder and CEO of AltNext, and a producer in interactive content. She studied Economics and Psychology at the University of St Andrews and was a research associate at Fudan University's Center for Complex Decision Analysis.

Her creative practice spans ARG games, transmedia interactive storytelling, interactive film and gaming, live-streaming formats, VR games, and AI-driven content creation. This cross-format experience gives her both a precise understanding of what different technologies make possible, and a sharp intuition for the narrative and experience design decisions that determine whether an interactive work truly connects with its audience. She produced Vapor: Find Us, China's first independent ARG; her distributed AI+VR project Empathy Creatures was selected for the Venice Film Festival's Immersive Section in official competition; and her published interactive live-streaming games reached No. 1 on Douyin's bestseller chart, generating revenues exceeding USD 10 million. Through years of hands-on work across China's interactive content industry, from its earliest experiments to commercial scale, she developed a cross-disciplinary perspective spanning creators, technologists, platforms, and investors, alongside a deep understanding of what creators actually need at every stage of their work.

These experiences converge in AltNext. What she recognized was not just the rise of a new content category, but the emergence of a new generation of creators, fluent in both technology and storytelling, yet without an international stage or community of their own. In 2025, she founded AltNext, dedicated to building a genuine global community for the next generation of interactive experience creators: a space where interactive narrative, AIGC, XR, and immersive experience can meet, collide, and grow together.
